Terms of Use: Reflexor

Last updated: 2026-08-22

Applies to: Reflexor editor package 0.5.0 on Visual Studio Code and Cursor

1. License

Reflexor is proprietary software. It is free to install and use. It is not open source. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the product through official Reflexor channels, including the Visual Studio Marketplace, Open VSX, and official sideload builds. Open-source dependencies remain under their own licenses.

2. Nature of the product

Reflexor uses local AI models on the embedded or system local engine and, when you enable them, optional remote features (Web Search, Web Research, MCP, or a remote inference endpoint you configure). Outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or unsafe. Review suggested code and commands before accepting them.

Supported Marketplace platforms: Windows x64, Linux x64, and macOS Apple Silicon (darwin-arm64). Install the package that matches your operating system and architecture. macOS Intel and linux-arm64 are not current Marketplace targets. Primary editors are VS Code and Cursor. Open only trusted local workspaces.

3. Experimental Agent

Agent mode is experimental. File writes and shell runs require approval unless you explicitly enable session auto-approve. Policy, path, and revalidation checks still apply. Do not use Agent as an unattended production control plane.

4. Your content and model output

You keep your rights in your source code. Reflexor does not claim ownership of your projects. Suggested text and code are generated by models you run or allow. You are responsible for reviewing them and for complying with model-provider licenses. Ollama and model weights are not licensed by Reflexor.

5. Optional network features

Web Search and Web Research are off by default. Using them after consent may send search queries or fetch approved URLs according to the Privacy Policy. MCP is off by default. Remote inference is off unless you point Reflexor at a non-local endpoint and grant consent. You must comply with third-party provider terms.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Reflexor to violate law, harm systems you are not authorized to operate, or bypass security controls.

7. Updates

Behavior and defaults may change between versions. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. To the maximum extent permitted by law, rights holders are not liable for damages arising from use, including data loss or incorrect AI output.
